The next meeting of the Tidewater Alumni Chapter-NCA&T will on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 7PM to 9PM at the Indian River Library, located at 2320 Old Greenbrier Road in Chesapeake. The meeting materials will be available for download on Monday, February 15, 2010.

| HBCU Blood Drive - Feb. 20, 2010 | |
The Tidewater Alumni Chapter's Community Service Project for Black History Month is a "HBCU Blood Drive" on February 20, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pembroke Donation Center in Virginia Beach, VA. The Center is located at the rear of the Sears retail store at Pembroke Mall on Virginia Beach Blvd. As African Americans, our need to become blood donors is evident especially in the light of the recent tragedy in Haiti. Spirit Cups Fundraiser |
Price increase for 2010 - cups are $15 for a set of 4 cups (same design) and deadline for ordering extended until February 18, 2010!!!!!
The Tidewater Alumni Chapter is selling spirit cups as one of our fundraisers. This year the collegiate cups feature our own alma mater with a 3-D holographic design with our logo.
The cups are $15 for 4 cups of the same team per pack. The cups are made of heavy 18 oz. plastic cups that are 5.75" tall and dishwasher safe. We also are selling all NFL, MLB and 70 other collegiate cups along with the 5 military designs.

Annual Alumni Awards |
It that time of year when we recognize the contributions of outstanding alumni. The Annual Alumni Awards Committee is now accepting nomination forms for the (1) Howard C. Barnhill Distinguished Service Award, (2) Julia S. Brooks Achievement Award and (3) Velma R. Speight Young Alumnus Award. The deadline for nomination forms is April 3, 2010.

Dues Increase for FY09-10 (July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010) - The dues for Members (anyone who has attended at least one semester at A&T) are $50 and dues for Associate Members (anyone who didn't A&T, i.e. parents of currently enrolled students) are $35.
